Thanks Everyone

I appreciate the positive feedback and the helpful comments I've received from everyone. I'm going to give this a try and see if we can't avoid some of the bullshit spammers.

Anyone who's here and would like to help me see if the system works, please leave me a comment.

Thanks everyone!

Insanity

The school year has officially started for me this week. I haven't been able to stop and take a breath since Monday and the kids won't even arrive for another two days.

Wish me lots of luck and patience in the coming weeks. My students are gonna need it!

Happy knitting all. I'll be thinking of you. M

Rodeo Clowns

Vacuuming has become a new form of entertainment at our house.

Other dogs that I have known have been very afraid of the sucking machine. Not Emmett.

He's decided that this is something that needs to be conquered in order to protect his family. Sort of. As soon as he gets passed jumping in from curiousity and jumping out from nervousness.

It does remind me very much of a rodeo clown trying to distract a bull in the ring.

And let me say this - it is difficult to vacuum when laughing so hard at the dog! :-)

Actual knitting content is also included today. I have sleeve 1 and sleeve 2 for the Tree Of Life sweater. Tah dah!!

Now I just have the back to finish. I did the sleeves first because I knew they would be poke-my-eyes-out-with-a-knitting-needle boring. I was right about that but at least they're done. Pray for no frogging for fit.

Well that's all for my last Friday of the summer. Hope you're enjoying your day as much as I'm loving mine! M

PS: Due to increased spamming on my blog, I've changed to registered users only. If this does not deter the little jerks who are doing it, I'm going to have to restrict comments to the tagboard only. Let's keep our fingers crossed that they go away.

I'm Baaaaack . . .

Betcha didn't even know I was gone, didja?

I have been in moving hell for the last ten days or so and it was so out of hand that I barely had time to read email every couple of days. Blogging was absolutely impossible.

But it's all done and under control (hah!) now so I'm coasting for the last few days of my summer holiday. That's right, I start back to work on Monday and am trying to work myself up into a certain enthusiasm for it. I do miss my students and am looking forward to seeing them again but it's all that school work that we have to get done that I'm not looking forward to.

So obviously, the knitting news is nil. The good side, though, is now I know exactly what yarns, fabrics, cross stitch patterns, knitting books, etc, etc, etc, that I own. And let me say this - I have entirely too much crap!!!

I have an entire second bedroom full of my craft stuff - a dresser, a closet, under the bed, stacked in corners. It's embarrassing really.

This is my new school-year resolution: No more craft stuff until I have used up everything I have. It's not just a yarn diet - it's a crash craft diet! Should I start a webring for this? Make a button maybe? :-p

Well, folks, it's good to be back in the land of the blogging. Hope you all are well and enjoying your days! M
