I well and truly believe it this year. We're going straight from winter into summer, or maybe even autumn.
I know because this is what we woke up to yesterday morning:
Yep, on April 16th, we got to look out into the street and see a beautiful November day. Thank you oh so much, Mother Nature.
I don't think I'll be getting any yard work done this weekend. And the garden plans will be strictly of the indoor variety.
But I guess it could be worse. Three weeks ago this little garden of mine was still under three feet of snow, literally, three feet.
And since progress is actually evident, I will risk starting some seedlings this weekend. Some herbs, chard and such. Maybe I'll even go dig down to get some onions and garlic planted. Wish me luck!
In the mean time, and in between time, I've been working on a couple of special projects instigated by my friend, Katharyn. A few weeks ago she put out an Earth Day Crafting Challenge and I am excited to participate.
If you feel inclined to join us, it's not too late, you've still got a few more days before Earth Day. The idea is to take your crafting to a different level by reusing, reducing, recycling into a special craft project. And I already checked, it's not about reducing your stash. I've been trying to think more along the lines of repurposing. And once I framed it that way, I realized that I do that . . . a lot.
So in a few days, on April 22nd to be precise, it'll be Earth Day and time for the big reveal. Hopefully I get organized enough to get that post done on time! :-)
Whether you're under a few inches of snow or looking at the blooms in your garden, I hope you're having a lovely weekend!
